This role focuses on driving a high-performance sales team to achieve monthly vehicle retail targets while ensuring superior customer experiences at the dealership. It involves bridging the gap between management objectives and ground-level execution through effective lead management and process compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 8-12 Sales Consultants to achieve monthly retail, finance, and insurance penetration targets.
- Monitor daily lead management within the Dealer Management System (DMS) to ensure timely follow-ups and high enquiry-to-booking conversion rates.
- Oversee the test drive process, ensuring vehicle availability, route adherence, and proper documentation protocols.
- Handle complex customer negotiations and resolve floor escalations to maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Conduct daily morning huddles to review Daily Sales Reports (DSR) and identify 'hot' leads for immediate closing support.
- Coordinate with the stockyard and logistics team for timely vehicle allotment and PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) scheduling.
- Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to provide actionable feedback for promotional campaigns to the Sales Manager.
- Ensure team adherence to OEM standards, including showroom grooming guidelines and digital inquiry response times.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior consultant role.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets in a competitive dealership environment.
- Thorough understanding of the Indian automotive market, including retail finance, insurance, and exchange processes.
- Excellent command over the local language and English for effective customer and corporate communication.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and high proficiency in driving for test drive demonstrations.
- Hands-on experience with automotive DMS software such as Autoline, SAP, or Oracle-based systems.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a major Indian OEM (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai, or Mahindra).
- In-depth knowledge of retail finance schemes and used-car valuation (Exchange) processes.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct product training and soft-skills coaching for junior staff.

Work Environment
Fast-paced automotive showroom environment. Standard 6-day work week with rotational offs. Requires active presence on the showroom floor and occasional field visits for corporate sales and roadshows.
