This role bridges the gap between theoretical product knowledge and practical showroom floor execution to drive higher conversion rates and customer satisfaction across the dealership network.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field coaching and shadowing sessions with Sales Consultants to improve pitch quality and objection handling.
- Design and deliver training modules on new vehicle launches, competitor benchmarking, and advanced sales techniques.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like lead-to-booking ratios and test drive conversion rates to identify training needs.
- Role-play customer scenarios with the team to refine negotiation skills, closing techniques, and finance/insurance cross-selling.
- Ensure all sales staff are proficient in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM tools for meticulous lead tracking.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align coaching strategies with monthly and quarterly retail targets.
- Provide constructive feedback and document personalized development plans for underperforming team members.
- Stay updated with OEM guidelines and ensure the sales team adheres to brand-specific customer experience standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive sales or sales training within a dealership or OEM environment.
- Deep understanding of the Indian automotive market dynamics and local consumer buying behavior.
- Excellent command over the local language and English for effective communication and training delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint for training presentations and Excel for data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and motivate team members without direct reporting authority.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and thorough knowledge of vehicle technical specifications.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands in the Indian market.
- Previous track record as a high-performing Sales Consultant or Team Leader with consistent target achievement.
- Familiarity with digital sales tools, virtual showrooms, and social media lead engagement strategies.

Work Environment
The role is on-site at the dealership showroom, involving frequent interaction with the sales team and customers. A standard 6-day work week is required, including weekends which are peak business days.
