This role involves overseeing the end-to-end inventory lifecycle of automotive spare parts and accessories to ensure seamless workshop operations. The focus is on maintaining optimal stock levels, reducing lead times, and implementing robust audit controls within the service facility to support service delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day inventory operations including receiving, inspecting, and organizing spare parts according to OEM standards
- Coordinate closely with the Service Manager and Workshop Floor Supervisors to ensure part availability for scheduled vehicle repairs
- Oversee the Dealer Management System (DMS) for accurate stock recording, billing, and real-time inventory tracking
- Implement and maintain inventory control techniques such as ABC/XYZ analysis and FIFO principles to minimize obsolescence
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records
- Manage relationships with OEM suppliers and local vendors for procurement of consumables and workshop supplies
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators including stock turnover ratio and dead stock levels
- Supervise and train store assistants to ensure safety compliance and organized warehouse management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive spare parts management or warehouse operations
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or MS Excel for inventory tracking
- In-depth knowledge of automotive components and technical parts specifications
- Proven experience in handling high-volume inventory in an authorized dealership environment
- Strong understanding of GST documentation, E-way bills, and delivery challans
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 6-day work week schedule
Preferred
- Experience working with leading passenger vehicle or commercial vehicle OEMs
- Previous experience in team leadership or supervisory roles within a workshop setting
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean management principles in a warehouse context

Work Environment
Standard automotive workshop and warehouse environment. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring physical presence for stock verification and team supervision.
