This role involves overseeing advanced vehicle diagnostics and complex mechanical repairs while ensuring peak workshop efficiency and safety standards. The successful candidate will act as a technical pivot, mentoring junior technicians and maintaining strict adherence to OEM service protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on engine, transmission, and complex electrical systems using computerized tools.
- Execute major mechanical repairs including full engine overhauling, gearbox replacements, and suspension overhauls.
- Supervise junior technicians and apprentices, providing hands-on training and technical guidance on the shop floor.
- Conduct final quality control inspections on all serviced vehicles to ensure zero-defect delivery to customers.
- Manage the maintenance and calibration of specialized workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Liaise with Service Advisors to provide accurate technical reports and repair time estimates.
- Ensure 100% compliance with workshop safety standards, 5S practices, and environmental regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest OEM technical bulletins and implement new repair procedures immediately.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in an authorized OEM workshop environment.
- In-depth knowledge of BS6 engine technology and advanced fuel injection systems.
- Proficiency in using OBD scanners, multimeters, and multi-brand diagnostic software.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for testing and moving vehicles.
- Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical service manuals.
- Strong understanding of workshop safety protocols and tool management.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Certification in Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage safety and repair.
- Previous experience as a Floor Coordinator or Team Lead in a high-volume workshop.

Work Environment
Standard 6-day work week in a fast-paced, high-volume workshop setting. Shift timings are typically 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM with standard safety gear provided.
