Workshop Managers Executives

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a busy automotive service center to ensure maximum productivity and adherence to brand quality standards. The focus is on streamlining workflow, managing technical staff, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient vehicle turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations including job card opening, technician allocation, and quality control checks
• Monitor and improve labor productivity and workshop throughput to meet monthly revenue targets
• Ensure all service and repair work complies with OEM technical guidelines and safety protocols
• Manage the workshop floor team, including technicians, floor supervisors, and washing staff
• Coordinate with the spare parts department to ensure timely availability of components for ongoing repairs
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify technical training needs for the service team
• Handle complex technical escalations and ensure customer complaints are resolved within the stipulated turnaround time
• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure periodic calibration and safety audits are performed

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
• Proven experience in managing a team of 15+ technicians in an authorized dealership
• Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or TVS-DMS
• Strong understanding of workshop KPIs including labor hours, parts sales, and CSI
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines
• Valid four-wheeler driving license

Preferred

• Previous experience with a major OEM such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra
• Knowledge of lean workshop management or 5S principles
• Experience in handling insurance claims and surveyor coordination

Qualifications

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering; Diploma holders with 10+ years of experience will be considered

Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in automotive workshop operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Certifications: OEM Technical Certification, Workshop Management Certification

Work Environment

Fast-paced on-site workshop environment; 6-day work week with standard shift timings (9:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
