This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the service center, ensuring high productivity and strict adherence to OEM quality standards. The focus is on optimizing workshop throughput while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction levels and managing a diverse team of technical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily workshop floor operations, including job card allocation and technician productivity monitoring.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM service standards, safety protocols, and workshop cleanliness guidelines.
- Monitor and drive key performance indicators such as Labor Revenue, Parts Sales, and Bay Productivity.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints regarding vehicle repairs and service quality to maintain high CSI/CVP scores.
- Oversee inventory management of spare parts, lubricants, and workshop consumables to minimize stock-outs.
- Conduct regular technical training sessions and performance reviews for technicians and service advisors.
- Coordinate with the Warranty Department to ensure accurate documentation and timely claim processing.
- Implement and monitor 5S and Lean management practices within the workshop environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in an authorized automotive dealership workshop.
- In-depth knowledge of modern automotive diagnostic tools and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Strong understanding of engine, transmission, and electrical systems in passenger or commercial vehicles.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of 20+ technical staff members.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
- Thorough knowledge of warranty procedures and OEM service manuals.
Preferred
- Experience working with Tier-1 OEM brands (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, etc.).
- Certification in Lean Workshop Management or Six Sigma.
- Prior experience in managing Body Shop operations alongside the mechanical workshop.

Qualifications
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering; Diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered.

Certifications: OEM Certified Workshop Manager, Safety Compliance Certification
Work Environment
On-site at a state-of-the-art authorized service center. Standard 6-day work week (9:00 AM - 6:30 PM). Workshop floor environment with high activity levels.
