Workshop Manager

Experience: 5–10 Years
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹70,000 per month
Incentive: Monthly Performance-Based Incentive

Job Responsibilities

• Manage overall workshop operations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.

• Plan and monitor workshop manpower, technician allocation, and job distribution.

• Ensure timely completion and delivery of vehicles as per committed timelines.

• Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability.

• Handle customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.

• Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, Bodyshop, Parts, and other departments.

• Monitor repair quality and ensure adherence to manufacturer/company standards and SOPs.

• Ensure proper utilization of workshop equipment, tools, and resources.

• Monitor pending jobs, repeat repairs, warranty jobs, and vehicle turnaround time.

• Track and achieve monthly workshop targets and key performance indicators.

• Conduct regular team meetings and provide guidance and technical support to workshop staff.

• Identify training requirements and improve technician/team performance.

• Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and workshop policies.

• Prepare and review workshop performance reports and share them with management.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

• 5–10 years of relevant automobile workshop experience.

• Experience in an automobile dealership/service centre will be preferred.

• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair, diagnostics, servicing, and workshop operations.

• Good leadership, team management, customer handling, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to achieve business targets and manage workshop profitability.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.
