This role involves driving operational efficiency and maintaining high service standards within the dealership's service department. It focuses on orchestrating technical workflows and leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional vehicle maintenance and repair services while ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily workshop activities to ensure optimal resource utilization and timely delivery of serviced vehicles.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, service advisors, and floor supervisors to maintain high performance and morale.
- Monitor and improve key workshop metrics including Labor Productivity, Technician Efficiency, and Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM service standards, technical bulletins, and safety protocols.
- Manage customer grievances and escalations to maintain a high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).
- Oversee the maintenance of workshop machinery, tools, and inventory levels for spare parts and consumables.
- Conduct regular quality audits on repaired vehicles to minimize repeat complaints and ensure roadworthiness.
- Coordinate with the spare parts and accounts departments to ensure smooth billing and inventory flow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing automotive workshop operations at an authorized dealership.
- In-depth technical knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electronics.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as SAP, Autoline, or OEM-specific software.
- Strong understanding of workshop KPIs and financial aspects like labor revenue and parts margin.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse workforce and manage shop-floor dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a major Indian or Global OEM brand.
- Familiarity with Electric Vehicle (EV) service requirements and high-voltage safety.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles for workshop process improvement.

Certifications: OEM Certified Workshop Manager, Technical Lead Certification, Safety Management Certification
Work Environment
Professional dealership workshop environment requiring on-site presence 6 days a week, with standard shift timings (9 AM - 6 PM or 10 AM - 7 PM).
