Technicians

A Maruti Suzuki mechanic (Technician) is responsible for inspecting, servicing, diagnosing, and repairing customer vehicles in the workshop.

Job profile:

• Perform regular vehicle servicing (engine oil, filters, brakes, etc.).

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Repair or replace faulty parts.

• Carry out engine, suspension, transmission, and brake repairs.

• Conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) for new vehicles.

• Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure problems are resolved.

• Maintain service records and follow Maruti Suzuki workshop procedures.

• Keep the work area clean and follow safety standards.

Skills required:

• Knowledge of automobile mechanics and vehicle systems.

• Ability to use diagnostic tools.

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Attention to detail and teamwork.

Eligibility:

• ITI (Motor Mechanic Vehicle, Diesel Mechanic, or related trade), Diploma in Automobile Engineering, or equivalent.

• Freshers may join as trainee technicians, while experienced mechanics can join at higher levels.

Salary (India):

• Freshers: around ₹15,000–₹20,000 per month.

• Experienced technicians: ₹20,000–₹22,000+ per month, depending on experience, dealership, and incentives.

This role is generally workshop-based and focuses on vehicle repair and maintenance rather than customer sales.
