This role involves performing high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs, routine maintenance, and diagnostic troubleshooting on a variety of vehicles within an authorized workshop environment. The focus is on ensuring vehicle safety, performance, and customer satisfaction through precision work and adherence to manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance services (PMS) including oil changes, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic tools and scanners.
- Execute major repairs involving engine overhauls, clutch replacements, and transmission adjustments.
- Carry out suspension work, brake system overhauls, and wheel alignment procedures.
- Complete all assigned job cards within the stipulated Standard Labor Time (SLT) to ensure workshop productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and parts used within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Adhere to workshop safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and maintaining a clean bay (5S).
- Participate in technical training sessions provided by the OEM to stay updated on new vehicle technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in an authorized OEM workshop or a reputed multi-brand service center.
- Practical knowledge of internal combustion engines, fuel systems, and automotive electricals.
- Ability to operate pneumatic tools, hydraulic lifts, and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Strong understanding of BS6 emission standards and related diagnostic procedures.
- Valid driving license for four-wheelers to perform road tests and vehicle movement.
- Willingness to work a standard 6-day week in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred
- Prior experience with major Indian OEMs such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, or Mahindra.
- Basic awareness of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety measures.
- Experience in air conditioning (AC) system diagnostics and gas charging.

Qualifications
Education: ITI in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) / Diesel Mechanic or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive servicing and repairs
Certifications: OEM Technical Certification, ASDC (Automotive Skills Development Council) Certification preferred
Work Environment
On-site workshop environment with a 6-day work week. Exposure to mechanical equipment, oils, and lubricants is standard. High-energy atmosphere focused on meeting daily vehicle delivery targets.
