This role involves performing routine vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical repairs while supporting senior technical staff in complex diagnostic procedures. It focuses on maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring every vehicle meets OEM safety and performance specifications before delivery to the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute periodic maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups according to manufacturer schedules.
- Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, and suspension components.
- Perform basic electrical system checks, battery testing, and bulb replacements using standard diagnostic tools.
- Conduct thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and post-repair quality checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain a clean and organized bay area, ensuring all specialized tools are handled with care and stored correctly.
- Accurately document all performed tasks, parts used, and observations in the job card or Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Adhere strictly to workshop safety protocols, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of internal combustion engines and automotive mechanical systems.
- Hands-on familiarity with basic workshop hand tools and pneumatic equipment.
- Physical stamina to work in a demanding workshop environment for extended hours.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical manuals and service bulletins.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and discipline.
Preferred
- Prior internship or vocational training at an authorized OEM service center.
- Basic understanding of BS6 emission technology and electronic fuel injection systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the local language and basic English.

Qualifications
Education: ITI in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) / Diesel Mechanic or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Certifications: Apprenticeship certificate from a reputed automotive firm is a plus, Basic OEM technical certification is an advantage
Work Environment
On-site workshop environment with a standard 6-day work week (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM). The role involves exposure to oils, lubricants, and machinery noise.
Growth Opportunities
