This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end vehicle service process and ensuring the highest standards of mechanical excellence and customer satisfaction. It involves leading a team of technicians to deliver timely repairs while strictly adhering to OEM guidelines and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily workshop operations and allocate job cards to technicians based on their specialized skill sets.
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics using computerized scanning tools and troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical issues.
- Conduct rigorous final inspections and road tests to ensure quality control and minimize repeat complaints.
- Manage workshop productivity and efficiency to ensure all vehicles are delivered within the promised Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Mentor and train junior technicians on the latest automotive technologies and standardized repair procedures.
- Coordinate with the spare parts department to ensure inventory availability for scheduled services and repairs.
- Maintain accurate digital records of all repairs, parts used, and labor hours within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Interact with customers to explain technical repairs and provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, and modern automotive electronics.
- Proven experience in using OEM-specific diagnostic software and workshop equipment.
- Strong understanding of workshop safety standards, 5S principles, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to lead and motivate a technical team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting vehicle road tests.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a premium or luxury authorized dealership network.
- Certification in Electric Vehicle (EV) maintenance and high-voltage safety protocols.
- Familiarity with lean workshop management techniques to improve throughput.

Work Environment
On-site at a state-of-the-art authorized workshop; standard 6-day work week (9:00 AM - 6:30 PM).
