This role involves executing high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services while adhering to standard operating procedures and manufacturer guidelines. The focus remains on ensuring vehicle safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction through precise mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
Perform periodic maintenance services and general mechanical repairs on passenger vehicles.
Diagnose technical issues using computerized diagnostic tools and scanners to identify malfunctions in engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
Execute repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, and fuel systems according to the job card instructions.
Ensure all work is completed within the stipulated Standard Labor Time (SLT) to maintain workshop productivity.
Maintain a clean and organized work bay while ensuring all specialized workshop tools and equipment are handled with care.
Document all findings, parts replaced, and additional recommended repairs clearly on the job card.
Conduct final inspections and test drives to verify the quality of repairs and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
Adhere strictly to workshop safety protocols and environmental regulations regarding waste disposal.
Hands-on experience in vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs within an authorized workshop environment.
Proficiency in using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of BS-VI engine technology and modern automotive electronics.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and circuit diagrams.
Valid four-wheeler driving license to perform vehicle movements and test drives.
Physical stamina to work in a demanding workshop environment for 6 days a week.
Previous experience working with a major OEM authorized service center.
Specific expertise in engine overhauling or advanced electrical troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Inventory Management and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).

Technicians can progress to Senior Technician, Diagnostic Specialist, or transition into Service Advisor or Workshop Manager roles based on performance and training certifications.
