TECHNICIAN AC

This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing automotive air conditioning and electrical systems within a high-volume workshop environment. The successful candidate will ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer comfort through precision technical work and adherence to OEM service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic testing on vehicle AC systems using advanced scanning tools.
• Repair and replace AC components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and blower motors.
• Execute vacuum testing, gas charging, and leak detection in strict compliance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical circuits related to climate control systems and wiring harnesses.
• Maintain detailed service records in the Dealer Management System (DMS) for every job card.
• Collaborate with service advisors to communicate technical findings and estimated repair times to customers.
• Ensure all workshop safety protocols are followed, particularly regarding refrigerant handling and high-voltage equipment.

Requirements

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical or Automobile Engineering.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive workshop.
• Proficiency in using multi-meters, pressure gauges, and AC recovery/recycling machines.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on 'First-Time-Right' repair quality.
• Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.

Preferred

• Prior experience with premium or luxury vehicle brands.
• Certification in EV high-voltage safety training.
• Knowledge of latest eco-friendly refrigerants (R1234yf).
• Familiarity with digital service tablet interfaces.

Work Environment

On-site at an authorized dealership workshop, 6 days a week, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Professional workshop attire and safety gear provided.
