This role involves spearheading a team of sales consultants to drive showroom walk-ins and conversions while ensuring consistent target achievement. It focuses on mentoring frontline staff and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and OEM process compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-8 Sales Consultants to achieve monthly retail and booking targets.
- Conduct daily morning huddles to review lead funnels, test drive schedules, and previous day's performance.
- Monitor the Dealer Management System (DMS) to ensure timely follow-ups and prevent lead leakage.
- Assist team members in closing complex negotiations and handling high-value customer queries.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM standards regarding product display, test drive protocols, and showroom hygiene.
- Coordinate with Finance, Insurance, and Accessories departments to maximize value-added services per vehicle.
- Track and report team performance metrics to the Sales Manager on a daily and weekly basis.
- Identify training needs within the team and conduct on-the-job coaching for product knowledge and soft skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of core experience in Automotive Sales (Passenger Vehicles or Two-Wheelers).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding individual sales targets consistently.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and proficiency in conducting professional test drives.
- Strong command over the local language and working knowledge of English.
- In-depth understanding of the local automotive market and competitor product offerings.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a Senior Sales Consultant or acting Team Lead role.
- Hands-on experience with CRM software or OEM-specific Dealer Management Systems.
- In-depth knowledge of retail finance schemes and insurance renewal processes.
