Spares

This role involves overseeing the end-to-end management of spare parts inventory to ensure workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, managing vendor relations, and ensuring seamless coordination between the parts department and the service team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventory operations including inwarding, storage, and issuance of spare parts.
• Ensure 100% accuracy in stock levels by conducting regular physical audits and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with the OEM for timely ordering and tracking of parts based on workshop demand.
• Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory to minimize capital blockage and prevent obsolescence.
• Maintain high fill rates to support the workshop team in meeting service turnaround times.
• Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and coordinate with the accounts team for billing reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and organized warehouse management systems (WMS).

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of automobile spare parts and categorization.
• Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and MS Office suite.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and supply chain basics.
• Ability to handle high-pressure environments in a workshop setting.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Valid two-wheeler driving license.

Preferred

• Prior experience in an authorized car or two-wheeler dealership.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
• Certification in Inventory Management or Automobile Parts handling.

Qualifications

Certifications: OEM-specific Parts Management Certification, Basic Computer Literacy Certificate

Work Environment

On-site at an authorized dealership workshop, 6 days a week, standard shift timings (9 AM to 6 PM).
