This role involves overseeing the complete lifecycle of automotive parts and accessories to ensure seamless service operations and customer satisfaction. You will lead a dedicated team to maintain optimal inventory levels while driving profitability through strategic stock management and retail sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the parts department, ensuring 100% availability of fast-moving items for the workshop.
- Develop and execute effective stock clearance strategies to minimize aged inventory and improve cash flow.
- Manage relationships with OEM suppliers and local vendors to ensure timely procurement and competitive pricing.
- Monitor inventory health using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and conduct regular physical stock audits.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to align parts availability with scheduled vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Lead and mentor the parts counter team to provide exceptional technical advice and service to retail customers.
- Ensure the warehouse and storage areas comply with OEM safety, organization, and 5S standards.
- Analyze monthly sales data and inventory reports to forecast future demand and prevent stock-outs.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in automotive parts management within an authorized dealership environment.
- Hands-on experience with inventory management software or automotive DMS platforms.
- Proven ability to manage and liquidate aged or dead stock effectively.
- Strong understanding of automotive components, technical specifications, and procurement cycles.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of parts executives and pickers.
- Fluency in the local language and working knowledge of English for OEM communications.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with major Indian OEMs (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra).
- Specialized training in Supply Chain Management or Warehouse Operations.
- Strong negotiation skills for dealing with local vendors and logistics partners.

Work Environment
This is an on-site role based at our dealership facility, operating 6 days a week in a fast-paced workshop and warehouse environment.
