This role involves developing and delivering technical and process-oriented training programs to enhance the skills of the workshop and service team. The focus is on ensuring high-quality vehicle maintenance, adherence to OEM standards, and improving overall customer service efficiency within the dealership network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive technical training modules for technicians, service advisors, and workshop floor supervisors.
- Conduct regular skill-gap analyses to identify specific training needs across the service department.
- Deliver hands-on training on advanced diagnostic tools, engine overhauling, electrical systems, and new model features.
- Monitor and improve workshop KPIs such as Fixed Right First Time (FRFT) and reduction in Repeat Repairs through targeted coaching.
- Maintain detailed records of training attendance, assessment scores, and certification levels in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Liaise with OEM representatives to stay updated on latest technical bulletins and mandatory training requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through post-training performance monitoring on the shop floor.
- Ensure all safety protocols and standardized operating procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed during the service process.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience specifically as a Service or Technical Trainer in the automotive industry.
- Thorough understanding of automotive mechanical systems, electronics, and diagnostic equipment.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand training material.
- Excellent presentation and classroom management skills.
- Fluency in the local regional language and English to effectively communicate with diverse staff levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint for creating training decks.
Preferred
- Experience working with leading Indian OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, or Mahindra.
- Prior experience in implementing 'Train the Trainer' programs.
- Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) architecture and high-voltage safety.

Qualifications
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering; or Diploma in Automobile Engineering with extensive field experience.
Experience: 3-5 years of total experience with at least 3 years in a dedicated training role.
Certifications: OEM Certified Technical Trainer, Train the Trainer (TTT) Certification, ASE or equivalent technical certifications are an advantage
