Job Description

Act as the primary interface between the customer and the service workshop to ensure seamless vehicle maintenance and repair experiences. This role focuses on translating technical issues into understandable terms for clients while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough vehicle walk-around inspections and documenting customer complaints accurately on the job card.

  • Providing accurate cost and time estimates for repairs and periodic maintenance services to customers.

  • Liaising with the workshop foreman and technicians to monitor the progress of vehicles and ensure repair quality.

  • Promoting Value Added Services (VAS), AMC packages, and genuine accessories to enhance vehicle performance and safety.

  • Communicating proactively with customers regarding additional repairs discovered during the service process and obtaining necessary approvals.

  • Performing a final quality check before vehicle delivery to ensure all reported issues are resolved and the vehicle is clean.

  • Handling the billing process, explaining the final invoice in detail, and addressing any customer queries regarding the work performed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an authorized OEM workshop.

  • Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as SAP, Autoline, or brand-specific platforms.

  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic procedures.

  • Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting road tests.

  • Excellent communication skills in the local language and English.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and demanding customers professionally.

Preferred

  • Previous experience with a high-volume passenger vehicle or premium automotive brand.

  • Certification from an OEM Training Center for Service Advisors.

  • Basic understanding of insurance claim procedures and coordination with surveyors.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or ITI Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV)

Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the Indian automotive service sector

Certifications: OEM Service Advisor Certification, IRDA certification for insurance processing (optional)

Work Environment

On-site dealership workshop environment with a standard 6-day work week. Requires high mobility within the service floor and customer lounge.

Growth Opportunities

Potential to advance to Senior Service Advisor, Floor Supervisor, Workshop Manager, or Service Manager roles within the dealership network.
