Responsible for elevating the performance of the dealership sales team by implementing structured training programs and coaching initiatives. This role focuses on bridging skill gaps and ensuring the team delivers an exceptional customer experience aligned with OEM standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and on-the-job training for Sales Consultants on product features, USPs, and competition comparisons.
- Deliver training on the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, test drive protocols, and closing techniques.
- Train staff on the effective use of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM tools for lead tracking and pipeline management.
- Organize and lead refresher sessions for existing staff and comprehensive induction programs for new hires.
- Perform periodic mystery shopping and field observations to identify training needs and performance gaps.
- Coordinate with the OEM training department to stay updated on new product launches and corporate identity guidelines.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through post-training assessments and sales performance tracking.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive sales or sales training within India.
- Deep understanding of the Indian automotive market and customer buying behavior.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, for creating engaging training modules.
- Excellent command over English and the local regional language.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel between dealership branches.
- Strong understanding of sales funnel metrics and CRM operations.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a premium or volume-market OEM dealership.
- Experience in soft skills and personality development coaching.
- Familiarity with digital sales tools and virtual training platforms.

Work Environment
This is an on-site role involving a standard 6-day work week. The trainer will divide time between the corporate office and various showroom floors to provide real-time coaching.
