This role focuses on elevating the performance of frontline sales teams through the design and delivery of high-impact training programs. It involves transforming product knowledge into effective sales strategies to drive conversion rates and ensure a premium customer experience across the dealership network.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for Sales Consultants and Team Leaders on the standard 7-step automotive sales process.
- Develop and update training modules for new vehicle launches, highlighting technical specifications, USPs, and competitor comparisons.
- Monitor Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores and implement targeted training interventions to address service gaps.
- Perform 'shadowing' and on-the-job coaching during live customer interactions to provide real-time feedback to sales staff.
- Analyze Dealer Management System (DMS) reports to identify skill gaps and regional performance trends.
- Liaise with OEM regional offices to ensure dealership staff are compliant with national brand standards and certification requirements.
- Facilitate workshops on soft skills, objection handling, and digital lead management through CRM tools.
- Organize periodic assessments and certifications to maintain a high standard of product expertise within the workforce.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in sales training, specifically within the Indian automotive industry (PV, CV, or 2W).
- In-depth knowledge of the Indian retail automotive market and consumer buying behavior.
- Proficiency in utilizing Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM software for performance tracking.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills in English, Hindi, and the local regional language.
- Ability to travel extensively to various dealership locations for on-site coaching.
- Proven track record of improving sales conversion metrics through structured training interventions.
Preferred
- Prior experience working directly with a major automotive OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
- Familiarity with digital sales tools and virtual training platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, LMS).
- Strong understanding of automotive finance, insurance, and value-added services (VAS).
