This role involves driving vehicle sales by identifying potential leads and guiding customers through the purchasing process. The focus is on delivering exceptional showroom experiences while meeting monthly volume targets within the competitive Indian automotive retail market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting professional product demonstrations and organizing test drives for prospective customers.
- Managing the end-to-end sales process from initial lead generation to final vehicle delivery.
- Maintaining daily records in the Dealer Management System (DMS) and ensuring timely lead status updates.
- Explaining various financing options, insurance packages, and value-added accessories to maximize revenue per unit.
- Following up consistently with walk-in inquiries and digital leads to ensure high conversion rates.
- Coordinating with the accounts and stockyard teams for seamless vehicle registration and delivery documentation.
- Achieving monthly sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined by the OEM and dealership management.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in the automotive or consumer durable sector.
- Valid Indian two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving license.
- Fluency in the local regional language and functional proficiency in English.
- Willingness to work in a high-pressure environment with a standard 6-day work week.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy for digital lead management.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with an authorized car or two-wheeler dealership.
- Familiarity with CRM software or OEM-specific Dealer Management Systems like Autoline or SAP.
- Working knowledge of motor insurance (IRDA) and vehicle finance processes.
