Job Description

This role focuses on driving sales growth for our range of commercial vehicles by identifying potential fleet owners and transport operators within the assigned territory. It involves building long-term relationships through field visits, technical product demonstrations, and managing the end-to-end sales lifecycle from inquiry to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive field visits to transport hubs, industrial clusters, and fleet operators to generate new sales leads.

  • Present technical specifications, payload capacities, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) benefits to prospective corporate and individual buyers.

  • Coordinate with banks and NBFCs to facilitate vehicle financing, loan documentation, and credit approvals for customers.

  • Manage the entire documentation process including RTO registration, insurance, and permit applications for commercial buyers.

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for various vehicle segments like LCV, ICV, or HCV.

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline in the Dealer Management System (DMS) and provide accurate sales forecasts.

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market shifts to provide feedback to the Sales Manager.

  • Organize and participate in local promotional activities such as Nukkad Nataks, canopy activities, and fleet meets.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in Commercial Vehicle (CV) or Construction Equipment sales.

  • Valid two-wheeler license and willingness to travel extensively for field work.

  • Strong understanding of the local transport market and logistics industry.

  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a track record of target achievement.

  • Ability to explain complex technical specifications and financial calculations (EMI/ROI) to customers.

  • Fluency in the local regional language and functional knowledge of English.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working with authorized OEM dealerships (e.g., Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra).

  • Existing network of fleet owners, contractors, and transport unions.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software or OEM-specific Dealer Management Systems.

Work Environment

On-site role involving significant field travel; standard 6-day work week (9 AM - 6 PM or 10 AM - 7 PM).
