This role oversees the entire vehicle registration lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination between the dealership, customers, and government authorities. It focuses on maintaining 100% compliance with regional transport regulations while optimizing the delivery timeline for new and pre-owned vehicles.
End-to-end management of vehicle registration processes through the Vahan 4.0 portal.
Coordinating with RTO officials for physical inspections, fitness certificates, and tax payments.
Managing the procurement and installation of High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) within stipulated timelines.
Ensuring accurate documentation for permanent registration, temporary permits, and hypothecation additions or terminations.
Liaising with insurance companies and banks to ensure all financial and legal prerequisites are met before registration.
Maintaining a detailed tracker for all pending registrations and providing daily status reports to the Sales and Delivery teams.
Handling complex cases such as fancy number bookings, address changes, and interstate transfers (NOC).
In-depth knowledge of Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) and local state RTO guidelines.
Proven experience in handling high-volume vehicle registrations in an authorized dealership.
Proficiency in using the Vahan portal and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
Strong relationship-management skills with RTO authorities and staff.
Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler driving license for essential field visits.
Ability to work under pressure to meet month-end delivery targets.
Experience in handling commercial vehicle permits and national permits.
Existing network within local RTO circles to expedite process bottlenecks.
Basic understanding of GST implications on vehicle registration and road tax.

Negotiation, Persuasion, Time Management, Local Language Fluency, Conflict Resolution
Education: Graduate in any stream (B.Com, BBA, or B.A. preferred)
Experience: 4 to 7 years in RTO operations within the Indian automotive sector
Certifications: RTO Compliance Training, Vahan Portal Certification (Optional)
Professional dealership environment involving frequent travel to local RTO offices; standard 6-day work week (9 AM - 6 PM).
High-performing executives can transition into Operations Management, Regional Compliance Head, or Branch Manager roles within the dealership network.
