This dual-responsibility role oversees the final quality assurance of new vehicles while strategically driving revenue through the promotion of value-added services. It bridges the gap between technical workshop operations and sales to ensure every customer receives a flawless vehicle equipped with premium enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the end-to-end Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process for all new vehicles to ensure 100% compliance with OEM standards.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Value Added Services (VAS) including ceramic coating, underbody protection, and extended warranties.
- Lead a team of PDI technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring high productivity in the inspection bays.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Logistics departments to align vehicle readiness with customer delivery schedules.
- Maintain meticulous records of PDI checklists and VAS installations within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Monitor inventory levels for VAS consumables and accessories to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Identify and report any manufacturing defects to the OEM through standard warranty and technical reporting channels.
- Conduct regular training for the sales team on the benefits of VAS products to improve penetration rates.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in automotive workshop operations or PDI management.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets for accessories or value-added services.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or local OEM software.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and clean driving record.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a Tier-1 Passenger Vehicle OEM (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors).
- Certification in automotive diagnostics or quality management.
- Fluency in the local regional language and functional English.

Work Environment
Standard 6-day work week in a high-volume workshop and stockyard environment. Shift timings are typically 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
