Job Description

This role involves ensuring that every vehicle delivered to customers meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and brand compliance. You will lead the pre-delivery inspection process, meticulously verifying vehicle condition and documentation to ensure a seamless customer handover experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on all new vehicles according to OEM checklists.
  • Verify vehicle exterior, interior, engine bay, and electronic system functionality before customer delivery.
  • Coordinate with the workshop team for the immediate rectification of any identified defects or transit damages.
  • Ensure all essential documentation, including vehicle history cards, warranty manuals, and service booklets, are accurately prepared.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockyard and inspection area to prevent accidental damage.
  • Track and update the Dealer Management System (DMS) with vehicle inspection status and delivery readiness.
  • Monitor vehicle stock levels and manage the rotation of inventory to prevent long-term parking issues.
  • Provide technical feedback to the sales team regarding vehicle readiness and delivery timelines.

Requirements

  • Diploma or ITI in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an automotive dealership PDI or workshop environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine, electricals, and chassis components.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
  • Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict OEM quality protocols.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a premium brand dealership.
  • Knowledge of EV safety protocols and battery health checks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.

Work Environment

On-site at the dealership stockyard/workshop. Standard 6-day work week with 9 AM to 6 PM shift timings. Involves physical activity and working in diverse weather conditions.
