Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic tools and OEM-specific equipment.
- Repair or replace worn-out parts such as brake pads, suspension components, and engine gaskets with precision.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential safety issues and ensure complete roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate digital and manual records of all repairs and services performed in the workshop log.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workstation to maintain high productivity and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to provide technical insights for customer repair estimates.
Requirements
- Successful completion of ITI in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) or Diesel Mechanic trade.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines and automotive sub-systems.
- Ability to handle physical workloads and stand for long periods in a workshop environment.
- A positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow within the automotive sector.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and tools used in a professional garage.
Preferred
- Previous experience working at an authorized OEM dealership (Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, etc.).
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for moving vehicles within the workshop area.
- Familiarity with basic diagnostic software or hand-held scanning tools.
