This leadership role involves spearheading the overall sales strategy and P&L performance for the dealership or regional cluster. It focuses on achieving market share growth, enhancing customer experience, and building a high-performing sales team while maintaining robust OEM relations and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing annual business plans and sales strategies to meet organizational revenue and volume targets.
- Overseeing the entire sales lifecycle, including retail, corporate sales, fleet management, and vehicle exchange programs.
- Managing the relationship with the OEM regional office regarding stock procurement, incentive schemes, and marketing support.
- Monitoring and improving Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores across all touchpoints.
- Leading and mentoring a multi-layered team of Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and Sales Consultants across multiple outlets.
- Analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and minimize aging.
- Ensuring 100% compliance with corporate guidelines, financial audits, and statutory regulations in all sales transactions.
- Driving the digital transformation of the sales process by optimizing CRM usage and lead management systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in automotive dealership sales management at a senior leadership level.
- Proven track record of managing high-volume retail operations and full P&L responsibility.
- Deep understanding of the Indian automotive market dynamics and local consumer behavior.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams of over 50 members.
- Excellent negotiation and networking skills with OEMs and financial institutions.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and modern CRM software tools.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands in the Indian market.
- MBA from a reputed institution with a specialization in Marketing or Operations.
- Expertise in digital lead management and performance marketing for automotive sales.
