Job Description

This leadership role involves spearheading the overall sales strategy and P&L management for the dealership to ensure sustained growth and market dominance. It focuses on driving high-volume sales targets, managing OEM relationships, and fostering a high-performance culture across multiple sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the entire sales department to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual vehicle sales targets.

  • Manage the dealership's Sales P&L, including margin optimization, expense control, and incentive structure planning.

  • Maintain robust relationships with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) regarding stock allocation, schemes, and compliance standards.

  • Monitor and improve Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores to meet brand benchmarks.

  • Analyze local market trends and competitor activities to develop effective pricing and promotional strategies.

  • Supervise inventory management and stock aging to ensure healthy working capital and cash flow.

  • Mentor and coach Sales Managers and Team Leaders to enhance productivity and professional development.

  • Drive digital transformation initiatives and CRM usage to improve lead conversion ratios and customer retention.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of core experience in Automotive Sales with a proven track record of target achievement.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a senior leadership role (Manager/Senior Manager level).

  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian automotive retail landscape and local market dynamics.

  • Strong expertise in P&L management and financial reporting for dealership operations.

  • Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or MS Dynamics.

  • Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills at both customer and OEM levels.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working with a leading Indian or global passenger vehicle brand.

  • Proven ability to manage multi-location showroom operations or high-volume outlets.

  • Deep understanding of vehicle financing, insurance (IRDA), and used car exchange business.

Work Environment

Standard dealership showroom environment; 6 days a week; requires local travel for corporate meetings and field activities.

Growth Opportunities

Potential to transition into Dealer Principal roles, Regional Head positions, or Senior Management roles within the OEM corporate network.
