This leadership role involves overseeing the entire Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for both vehicle sales and after-sales service operations within the dealership network. It focuses on driving synergy between departments to maximize revenue while ensuring strict adherence to OEM brand standards and customer excellence protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive the overall P&L for both Sales and Service departments across multiple locations to ensure sustainable profitability.
- Formulate and execute strategic business plans to achieve monthly vehicle retail targets and workshop throughput objectives.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators including Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Liaise with OEM regional offices to ensure compliance with brand audits, inventory management, and marketing guidelines.
- Supervise workshop operations to optimize labor productivity, parts turnover, and service absorption ratios.
- Lead and mentor a large multi-functional team, including Sales Managers and Service Managers, to foster a high-performance culture.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and service value-added offerings.
- Oversee the implementation of digital transformation initiatives and CRM usage to improve lead conversion and customer retention.
Requirements
- Minimum 12-18 years of experience in the Indian Automotive industry with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale dealership operations or regional clusters.
- In-depth knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and automotive CRM software.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams of 50+ employees.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and the local regional language.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands in the Indian market.
- Existing relationships with OEM regional leadership teams.
- Proven ability to turnaround underperforming dealership branches.
- Strong understanding of the evolving Electric Vehicle (EV) sales and service ecosystem.

Qualifications

Certifications: OEM Certified General Manager Training, Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus, Six Sigma Green Belt for operational efficiency
Work Environment
On-site role based at the dealership or regional headquarters, requiring 6 days a week commitment and occasional travel to branch locations.
