This role focuses on optimizing dealership profitability by overseeing the end-to-end processing of vehicle loans and insurance policies. It involves leading a dedicated team to ensure seamless coordination between customers, financial institutions, and insurance providers while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Insurance Executives to achieve monthly penetration targets for motor insurance and retail finance.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner banks, NBFCs, and insurance OEMs to ensure competitive rates and quick approvals.
- Oversee the entire documentation process for loan disbursements and insurance issuance to ensure zero-error filings and compliance.
- Track and drive insurance renewal business through proactive customer follow-ups and effective database management.
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports to monitor team performance, commission structures, and department P&L.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the team on new financial products, IRDA regulations, and consultative selling techniques.
- Resolve customer grievances related to claims, policy issuance, or loan processing in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Finance & Insurance within an automotive dealership environment.
- Valid IRDA certification (Composite or General Insurance).
- Proven track record of managing high-volume retail finance and insurance operations.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting.
- Deep understanding of KYC norms, RTO processes, and motor insurance claim procedures.
- Excellent command over the local language and English.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands in a managerial capacity.
- Existing network with regional heads of major private banks and insurance providers.
- Knowledge of GST implications on insurance and finance commissions.
- Experience in digital loan processing and fintech integration.
