SHOWROOM CASHIER

This role is responsible for managing all financial transactions at the dealership, ensuring accurate billing and seamless payment processing for vehicle sales. It acts as a critical touchpoint for customers, maintaining financial integrity while providing professional service during the final stages of the purchase journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all cash, cheque, and digital payments for vehicle sales, accessories, and service invoices accurately.

• Maintain and update the Dealer Management System (DMS) with accurate transaction records in real-time.

• Issue official receipts and tax invoices ensuring full compliance with GST regulations and company policies.

• Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare end-of-day reports for the Accounts Manager.

• Manage petty cash for showroom operational expenses with meticulous documentation and voucher maintenance.

• Coordinate with the sales and service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth delivery processes.

• Assist the accounts department in periodic audits and physical verification of cash and stock.

• Handle customer queries regarding payment modes, refunds, and billing documentation professionally.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as a Cashier or in a similar financial role, preferably in retail or automotive.

• Proficiency in Tally ERP9/Prime and Microsoft Excel for financial data entry.

• Strong understanding of Indian currency handling and counterfeit detection techniques.

• Familiarity with GST billing structures and statutory tax invoice requirements.

• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with a focus on numerical accuracy.

• Excellent communication skills in the local language and basic English.

Preferred

• Prior experience working with automotive Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like Autoline or Blue-sky.

• Basic knowledge of motor insurance (IRDA) and RTO payment processes.

• Experience handling high-volume transactions during peak festive seasons.

Work Environment

Standard automotive showroom environment. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a 6-day work week, including weekends, with shift timings typically from 09:00 AM to 06:15 PM.
