Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic scanners and tools.
- Perform major engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and suspension overhauling with precision.
- Carry out periodic maintenance services (PMS) according to the manufacturer's service schedule.
- Ensure 'Right First Time' (RFT) repairs to minimize repeat complaints and improve workshop efficiency.
- Conduct road tests before and after repairs to verify vehicle performance and safety.
- Maintain high standards of shop floor cleanliness and ensure all tools are calibrated and stored correctly.
- Document all work performed and parts used accurately on the digital or physical job card.
- Assist Service Advisors in explaining technical issues to customers when required for transparency.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized dealership workshop (OEM).
- In-depth knowledge of BS6 engine technology and emission control systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools like Tech-2, VCI, or brand-specific software.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting vehicle road tests.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
- Physical stamina to work in a workshop environment for extended hours.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Basic certification or training in Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage safety.
- Prior exposure to inventory management or spare parts ordering processes.

Work Environment
Standard 6-day work week on-site at the workshop. Shift timings are typically 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role involves exposure to noise, oils, and heavy machinery requiring strict adherence to PPE and safety guidelines.
