This leadership role focuses on driving revenue growth and market share for the dealership while ensuring strict adherence to OEM brand standards. It involves orchestrating high-performance sales teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and managing the end-to-end sales lifecycle from lead generation to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual volume and profitability targets.
- Monitor and manage the entire sales funnel, ensuring high lead conversion rates through CRM tools and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Lead, mentor, and conduct regular performance reviews for a team of Sales Consultants and Team Leaders to enhance productivity.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by coordinating with the OEM and managing the stock aging process effectively.
- Oversee the integration of Value Added Services (VAS) including finance, insurance, and accessories to maximize per-vehicle revenue.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM sales processes and maintain high scores in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI).
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to provide actionable insights for local marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Facilitate seamless coordination between the sales, accounts, and service departments for smooth vehicle deliveries.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in automotive sales with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets in a high-pressure environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the local automotive market and customer buying patterns.
- Proficiency in operating Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM software.
- Strong understanding of automotive finance, insurance (IRDA) norms, and RTO processes.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel for field activities.
- Excellent command over the local language and English.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Existing relationships with local banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs).
- Certification in Sales Management from a recognized Automotive OEM.
