This role involves leading a high-performing team to drive vehicle sales volume and achieve market share objectives within the assigned territory. It focuses on optimizing the sales funnel, ensuring OEM process compliance, and delivering a premium customer experience at the dealership.
Lead and mentor a team of Sales Consultants to achieve monthly and quarterly retail and wholesale targets.
Monitor and manage the sales pipeline through the Dealer Management System (DMS) to ensure high lead-to-conversion ratios.
Oversee showroom operations, including vehicle display standards, test drive vehicle availability, and customer hospitality.
Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to provide seamless end-to-end purchasing solutions for customers.
Analyze local market trends and competitor activities to design and execute effective BTL marketing initiatives.
Ensure 100% compliance with OEM sales processes and maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
Handle high-value customer negotiations and resolve escalated grievances to maintain brand reputation.
Manage inventory levels and aging to ensure optimal stock rotation and minimize carrying costs.
3-5 years of proven experience in automotive sales, preferably in a supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of the Indian automotive market and local consumer behavior.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing sales teams.
Excellent communication skills in English and the local regional language.
Valid four-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel locally for field visits.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Experience working with reputed Passenger Vehicle (PV) or Commercial Vehicle (CV) OEMs.
Prior experience in corporate sales or institutional tie-ups.
Certification in Sales Management or OEM-specific product training.
CRM/DMS Proficiency, Inventory Management, Market Analysis, P&L Understanding, Microsoft Office Suite
Team Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Strategic Thinking, Interpersonal Communication, Customer Relationship Management
Education: Graduate in any stream (MBA in Marketing or Sales is highly preferred)
Experience: 3-5 years in Automotive Sales
Certifications: OEM Sales Certification, Professional Sales Management Training
On-site showroom environment; standard 6-day work week (9 AM - 7 PM) with rotational weekly-offs.
Potential to progress to General Manager (Sales) or Branch Head within the dealership group or transition into Regional Manager roles at the OEM level.
