This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient movement of customer and dealership vehicles within the workshop premises and across designated city routes. It focuses on providing timely vehicle pick-up and drop-off services while maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and professional conduct during customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute safe pick-up and drop-off of customer vehicles from their residence or office to the workshop.
- Manage vehicle movement within the workshop, including parking and positioning in service bays as directed by the Floor Supervisor.
- Conduct a basic inspection of the vehicle's exterior and interior condition before taking custody and document any existing damages.
- Assist the service team in taking customers for short test drives to identify or confirm reported issues.
- Ensure all vehicle documents, gate passes, and delivery notes are correctly handled and signed during transit.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dealership's test drive and internal shuttle vehicles.
- Perform routine checks on fuel levels, tire pressure, and battery health for vehicles parked in the yard.
- Adhere strictly to traffic rules and dealership safety protocols to ensure a zero-accident record.
Requirements
- Valid Indian Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license with a clean driving record.
- Thorough knowledge of local city routes and traffic regulations.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles across various segments (Hatchback, Sedan, SUV).
- Punctuality and a strong sense of time management for scheduled appointments.
- Basic proficiency in the local language and functional English to interact with customers.
- Physical fitness to handle long hours of driving and vehicle movement.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with an authorized automobile dealership or service center.
- Familiarity with smartphone apps for navigation and digital logbooks.
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics to identify minor operational issues.
