This role involves overseeing the entire technology infrastructure and digital operations within the dealership to ensure seamless connectivity between sales and service departments. The focus is on maintaining high system availability, protecting data integrity, and ensuring compliance with OEM-mandated digital standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Dealer Management System (DMS) to ensure 100% uptime for sales, spares, and service operations.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all hardware including desktops, laptops, heavy-duty printers, and handheld diagnostic devices.
- Maintain robust network infrastructure across the showroom and workshop, managing LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and firewall security.
- Coordinate with OEM IT teams for system updates, integration of new digital modules, and adherence to brand-specific IT audits.
- Implement and monitor automated data backup protocols and cybersecurity measures to prevent data loss or unauthorized access.
- Manage the IT asset inventory, including procurement of hardware and consumables while maintaining vendor relationships for AMCs.
- Supervise the CCTV surveillance and biometric attendance systems to ensure continuous monitoring and data retrieval capabilities.
- Provide technical training to staff on CRM usage, digital documentation, and basic troubleshooting to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in IT management, specifically within an automotive dealership or large-scale retail environment.
- Hands-on experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or OEM-proprietary software.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including routing, switching, and VPN configuration.
- Expertise in troubleshooting hardware peripherals like thermal printers, scanners, and barcode readers.
- Ability to work on-site 6 days a week in a high-pressure dealership environment.
Preferred
- Valid CCNA or MCSA certification.
- Experience with cloud-based CRM systems and Google Workspace/Microsoft 365 administration.
- Prior experience managing IT infrastructure for a multi-location dealership group.

Qualifications
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT, MCA, or a Diploma in Hardware & Networking.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant technical and managerial experience.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the dealership. The IT Manager will frequently move between the showroom, workshop, and administrative offices to provide immediate technical support.
