Job Description

This role involves restoring vehicle body integrity by performing high-quality dent removal and panel beating operations. You will ensure that all vehicle repairs meet OEM standards for safety, aesthetics, and structural durability while maintaining workshop efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precise dent removal, panel beating, and body alignment on various vehicle models.
  • Operate specialized dent-pulling equipment, welding tools, and hydraulic frame straighteners safely.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle frames and body components to identify damage extent.
  • Follow OEM repair manuals and standard operating procedures for structural integrity restoration.
  • Collaborate with the paint booth team to ensure seamless surface preparation prior to painting.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Ensure all repair documentation is updated accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive body shop operations and dent removal techniques.
  • Proficiency in using oxy-acetylene welding, MIG welding, and spot welding equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical repair manuals and diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of automotive frame geometry and metal finishing.
  • Good communication skills in the local language and basic English.
  • Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working in an authorized OEM service center.
  • Exposure to advanced paintless dent repair (PDR) techniques.
  • Familiarity with high-strength steel (HSS) repair protocols.

Qualifications

Education: ITI in Motor Vehicle Mechanic (MV) or equivalent trade certificate.

Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a professional automotive workshop.

Certifications: ITI trade certificate, Safety training certification (preferred)

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based in an automotive workshop. The environment involves active manual labor, usage of heavy machinery, and exposure to workshop chemicals. Standard working hours are 6 days a week, 9 AM to 6 PM.
