This role focuses on driving dealership revenue by identifying potential buyers and guiding them through the entire vehicle purchase lifecycle. It involves building strong customer relationships, delivering detailed product demonstrations, and ensuring a seamless transition from initial inquiry to final delivery.
Identify and reach out to potential customers through cold calling, lead follow-ups, and showroom walk-ins to build a robust sales pipeline.
Conduct comprehensive vehicle demonstrations and test drives to highlight technical specifications, safety features, and value propositions.
Manage the end-to-end sales process, including price negotiations, financing options, insurance selection, and vehicle registration documentation.
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and sales leads in the Dealer Management System (DMS) or CRM software.
Coordinate with the workshop and stockyard teams to ensure vehicles are prepped and ready for scheduled customer deliveries.
Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for new vehicles, accessories, and value-added services like extended warranties.
Provide exceptional post-sales support to ensure high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores and encourage referral business.
Stay updated on automotive market trends, competitor pricing, and OEM product launches to provide informed advice to customers.
3 to 5 years of proven experience in passenger vehicle sales within an authorized OEM dealership.
Valid permanent four-wheeler driving license and proficiency in driving manual and automatic vehicles.
Strong command over the local language and functional proficiency in English.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets.
Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a customer-centric approach.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment with a 6-day work week schedule.
Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
In-depth knowledge of retail finance, insurance processes, and RTO regulations.
Existing network of corporate clients or local influencers.
CRM/DMS Software Proficiency, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Automotive Technical Knowledge, Inventory Management Basics
Persuasive Communication, Active Listening, Relationship Building, Time Management, Conflict Resolution
Education: Any Graduate degree (B.Com, BBA, or B.Sc. preferred); Diploma in Automobile Engineering is an added advantage.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Automotive Sales.
Certifications: OEM Sales Certification (preferred), Soft Skills Training Certification
Standard dealership environment involving showroom floor duties, outdoor field visits for home test drives, and corporate presentations. Standard working hours are 10 AM to 7 PM, 6 days a week, with a weekly off on a weekday.
High-performing executives are eligible for promotion to Senior Sales Consultant or Team Leader roles within 18-24 months. The company provides cross-functional training for transitions into Finance, Insurance, or Used Car (Exchange) departments.
