This leadership position involves overseeing the complete financial health and accounting operations of the dealership while ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and OEM standards. The role focuses on managing the finance team, optimizing cash flow, and providing strategic financial insights to the management to drive business profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and ensure timely submission of financial reports to the OEM.
- Handle all statutory compliances including GST filing, TDS returns, Income Tax assessments, and PF/ESI contributions.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and manage dealership cash flow to optimize working capital and minimize interest costs.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and implement robust internal financial controls.
- Reconcile OEM accounts, incentive claims, and spare parts inventory accounts on a periodic basis to prevent leakages.
- Prepare comprehensive MIS reports, budget forecasts, and variance analysis for the dealership leadership team.
- Lead and mentor the accounts team to ensure high productivity, accuracy in documentation, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Tally Prime and specialized Dealership Management Software (DMS).
- In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws including GST, TDS, and corporate Income Tax.
- Proven track record of managing a full-scale accounts department in a retail or automotive setting.
- Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Ability to manage complex reconciliations between OEM ledgers and internal accounts.
- Thorough understanding of P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a major automotive OEM dealership network.
- Familiarity with RTO taxation and insurance accounting processes.
- Experience in handling high-volume inventory audits and fixed asset management.

Qualifications
Education: B.Com, M.Com, or MBA (Finance). CA Inter or CMA Inter candidates are highly preferred.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of core accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Certifications: Certification in Taxation or Tally ERP, Professional training in Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the dealership. Standard working hours are 6 days a week, following the dealership's operational calendar.
