This role involves spearheading a high-performing sales team to achieve monthly retail and booking targets while ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction. It focuses on mentoring sales consultants, monitoring lead pipelines, and maintaining strong relationships with OEM partners to drive dealership growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of 10-15 Sales Consultants to achieve monthly sales, insurance, and accessories targets.
- Monitor daily enquiry flow, test drive ratios, and booking-to-delivery conversions through the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Conduct daily morning huddles to review individual pipelines and provide tactical support for closing difficult deals.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM sales processes and showroom standards, including customer greeting and vehicle demonstration protocols.
- Manage customer escalations effectively to maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores.
- Collaborate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) team to ensure seamless loan processing and value-added service penetration.
- Analyze local market trends and competitor activities to provide actionable feedback to the Sales Manager for promotional planning.
- Oversee the stock allocation process and ensure timely delivery of vehicles to customers with zero documentation errors.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in automotive sales with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding individual and team sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the local automotive market, competitor models, and customer buying behavior.
- Mandatory valid four-wheeler driving license and ability to conduct professional test drives.
- Proficiency in using automotive DMS (like Autoline or SAP) and CRM software for lead management.
- Excellent communication skills in the local regional language and English.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills to close high-value deals.
Preferred
- Experience working with a leading Indian or global automotive OEM (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, etc.).
- Prior experience in managing corporate or bulk sales accounts.
- Certification in Sales Management or OEM-led leadership training programs.
