This role involves managing the end-to-end insurance lifecycle for automotive customers, focusing on policy issuance, renewals, and claim facilitation. The objective is to maximize insurance penetration and retention while ensuring strict adherence to IRDAI guidelines and dealership standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute new vehicle insurance policies and manage timely renewals for the existing customer database.
- Educate customers on various insurance products, including comprehensive covers, zero-depreciation add-ons, and engine protection.
- Coordinate with multiple insurance partners to facilitate smooth claim settlements and cashless garage approvals.
- Maintain meticulous records of all policies and claims within the Dealer Management System (DMS) and internal trackers.
- Achieve monthly insurance renewal targets and conversion ratios for new vehicle sales.
- Handle customer grievances related to insurance documentation or claim delays with professional resolution.
- Conduct regular audits of insurance files to ensure 100% compliance with IRDAI regulations and company policy.
- Collaborate with the sales and service teams to identify insurance opportunities and provide seamless customer handovers.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in motor insurance operations within an automotive dealership or insurance brokerage.
- In-depth knowledge of motor insurance products, claim processes, and IRDAI norms.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding insurance renewal targets.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data management and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language and functional English.
- High attention to detail for error-free policy issuance and documentation.
Preferred
- Possession of a valid IRDA certification (General Insurance).
- Prior experience working with Dealer Management Systems like Autoline, SAP, or MS Navision.
- Experience handling high-volume insurance renewals in a multi-brand or premium car dealership.
