This leadership role involves overseeing the entire accessory business vertical across multiple dealership outlets to maximize revenue and profitability. It focuses on strategic procurement, inventory optimization, and driving sales performance through cross-functional collaboration with sales and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a centralized accessory sales strategy to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets across all group locations.
- Manage relationships with OEMs and third-party vendors to ensure competitive pricing, high-quality stock, and timely delivery.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels across all branches to prevent stock-outs while minimizing dead stock and capital blockage.
- Design and execute incentive schemes for Sales Consultants and Service Advisors to drive accessory penetration per vehicle.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the team on product knowledge, upselling techniques, and technical fitment standards.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM guidelines and maintain high standards of fitment quality to prevent customer complaints.
- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to introduce high-margin, trending accessories to the product portfolio.
- Prepare comprehensive MIS reports for senior management regarding sales performance, margins, and inventory aging.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in the Indian automotive industry, specifically in Parts or Accessories management.
- Proven track record of managing multi-location operations or a large dealership group.
- In-depth knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and inventory management software.
- Strong negotiation skills with a history of managing vendor contracts and OEM relations.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data-driven decision making and reporting.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of accessory executives and fitters.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Existing network of local accessory distributors and vendors across the region.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and accessory fitment technicalities.
