Responsible for managing the end-to-end insurance lifecycle for new and existing vehicle owners within the dealership. This position bridges the gap between insurance providers and customers, ensuring seamless policy issuance and high renewal rates while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the timely renewal of motor insurance policies for existing dealership customers through proactive tele-calling and follow-ups.
- Advise walk-in and new car customers on various insurance products, including Zero Depreciation, Return to Invoice (RTI), and Engine Protection covers.
- Coordinate with multiple insurance partners to obtain competitive quotes and ensure the best coverage options for clients.
- Handle the end-to-end documentation process for policy issuance and endorsements through the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Assist customers in the initial documentation and coordination for insurance claims at the workshop to ensure a smooth service experience.
- Reconcile premium collections and ensure timely payout of commissions and payouts from insurance companies.
- Maintain detailed MIS reports on daily logins, issuances, and pending renewals for management review.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in motor insurance sales or renewals within an automotive dealership.
- In-depth understanding of IRDA guidelines and standard motor insurance terminology.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Microsoft Excel for reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex terms in local languages.
- Strong follow-up skills and a consistent track record of meeting monthly targets.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail in documentation.
Preferred
- Valid IRDA certification (General Insurance).
- Prior experience with multi-brand insurance aggregators or portals.
- Ability to handle customer grievances regarding claims or policy discrepancies.

Work Environment
Standard dealership showroom or service center environment. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a 6-day work week (Monday to Saturday) with standard industry timings (9:30 AM - 6:30 PM).
