This role serves as the highest point of technical escalation within the workshop, responsible for diagnosing complex vehicle issues that general technicians cannot resolve. You will act as a bridge between the service floor and OEM technical support to ensure high-quality, efficient vehicle repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
- Act as a technical mentor to junior technicians, providing guidance on difficult repair procedures.
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM quality standards and compliance protocols.
- Analyze diagnostic data using specialized software and tools to identify root causes of recurring vehicle faults.
- Coordinate with OEM technical support teams for unresolved complex cases.
- Maintain high levels of Fixed First Visit (FFV) and reduce repeat repair occurrences.
- Document technical findings accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS) for future reference.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an automobile technician in an authorized dealership.
- In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems including engine management, transmission, and electrical architecture.
- Proficiency in using OEM-specific diagnostic scanners and software tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive service manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workshop environment while maintaining precision.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a Cotech or Senior Technician role within the same brand.
- Experience with EV (Electric Vehicle) battery and high-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of warranty claim documentation processes.

Qualifications

Work Environment
On-site, 6 days a week, full-time workshop environment with standard shift timings.
