This role involves overseeing the entire employee lifecycle within a high-volume automotive dealership environment, focusing on talent acquisition and organizational culture. It ensures that human resource strategies align with business objectives while maintaining strict adherence to statutory regulations and OEM standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment cycles for sales, service, and technical staff to ensure optimum manpower levels.
- Ensure 100% statutory compliance with Indian Labor Laws, including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and Gratuity.
- Oversee monthly payroll processing, attendance management, and leave administration via DMS or HRMS.
- Implement and drive the annual performance appraisal process (PMS) across all dealership departments.
- Design and execute employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and workplace morale.
- Coordinate with OEM training managers to ensure all staff meet mandatory certification requirements.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and exit formalities in a professional manner.
- Maintain updated digital and physical employee records for internal and OEM audits.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of core HR experience, preferably within the Indian automotive or retail sector.
- Thorough understanding of Indian Labor Laws and statutory filing processes.
- Proven track record in bulk hiring for sales and technical roles.
- Excellent command over English and the local regional language.
- High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting and analytics.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution capabilities.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a major automotive OEM dealership group.
- Knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like Autoline or SAP.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period.
