Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance services (PMS) including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups according to OEM standards.
- Conduct basic inspections of brakes, suspension, and electrical systems to identify potential issues.
- Assist senior technicians in diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic scanners.
- Maintain a clean and organized bay area, ensuring all tools are properly maintained and stored.
- Document all repairs, parts used, and labor hours accurately on the digital or physical job card.
- Participate in road tests with senior staff to verify the quality of repairs and vehicle performance.
- Strictly follow workshop safety protocols and hazardous waste disposal guidelines.
Requirements
- Successful completion of ITI or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of internal combustion engines and automotive systems.
- Ability to handle basic hand tools and power tools safely.
- Possession of a valid four-wheeler driving license.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of a workshop environment.
- Willingness to work 6 days a week in a shift-based environment.
Preferred
- Previous apprenticeship or internship at an authorized automotive dealership.
- Basic computer literacy for updating digital job cards.
- Familiarity with specific OEM tools and diagnostic software.
