This role involves managing the end-to-end accidental repair process, from initial vehicle damage assessment to final delivery. It requires seamless coordination between customers, insurance surveyors, and the workshop floor to ensure high-quality vehicle restoration and efficient claim settlements.
Conduct thorough inspections of accidental vehicles and prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates for customers and insurance companies.
Liaise with insurance surveyors to facilitate timely vehicle inspections and obtain necessary approvals for repair work.
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair progress, insurance claim status, and expected delivery timelines.
Coordinate with the spare parts department to ensure the timely availability of body panels and components required for repairs.
Perform final quality checks on repaired vehicles to ensure they meet OEM standards and customer expectations before delivery.
Manage documentation for cash and insurance jobs, ensuring all billing is completed accurately within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Upsell value-added services such as anti-rust coating, ceramic coating, or specialized detailing during the body shop visit.
Address customer grievances related to repair quality or delays with professional problem-solving and empathy.
1-3 years of experience in an authorized automotive dealership body shop environment.
In-depth knowledge of body shop processes including denting, painting, and chassis alignment.
Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for job card opening and billing.
Sound understanding of motor insurance claim procedures and surveyor coordination.
Valid four-wheeler driving license for moving vehicles within the workshop.
Strong command over the local language and functional English communication.
Willingness to work in a target-driven, fast-paced workshop environment.
Prior experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
Knowledge of computerized paint mixing and specialized body repair tools.
Familiarity with IRDA guidelines regarding motor insurance claims.
Previous certification in customer handling or service excellence from an OEM.
Vehicle Damage Estimation, Insurance Claim Documentation, DMS Proficiency (e.g., SAP, Autoline, or proprietary OEM systems), Technical Knowledge of Paints & Coatings, Basic Microsoft Office

Education: Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or ITI (Motor Mechanic/Body Repair). Graduates with relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in an automotive service or body shop role.
Certifications: OEM Service Advisor Certification (preferred), Insurance Claim Handling Workshop (preferred)
On-site at an authorized dealership workshop; 6 days a week (9 AM - 6 PM); requires active movement between the office and the workshop floor.
High-performing advisors can transition into Body Shop Manager, Service Manager, or Insurance Manager roles within the dealership group's expanding network.
