Technicians

This role focuses on executing high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure vehicle safety and performance. The position requires a detail-oriented approach to diagnostics and maintenance while strictly following OEM standards within a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine periodic maintenance services (PMS) and general repairs as per OEM guidelines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using computerized diagnostic tools and scanners.
• Execute complex repairs on engine components, transmissions, braking systems, and suspensions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work bay while ensuring all tools and equipment are serviced regularly.
• Document all findings, parts used, and labor hours accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
• Conduct road tests post-repair to verify vehicle performance and ensure the resolution of customer complaints.
• Collaborate with the Spare Parts department to ensure timely availability of components for ongoing jobs.
• Adhere strictly to workshop safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in multi-brand or authorized OEM workshops.
• Proficiency in using pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, and diagnostic scanners.
• Solid understanding of internal combustion engines and vehicle electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting test drives.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of a workshop environment.

Preferred

• Experience working with BS6 engine technology and exhaust after-treatment systems.
• Prior experience with specific OEM brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, or Hyundai.
• Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety.

Qualifications

Education: ITI in Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in an automotive workshop

Certifications: OEM Level 1/Level 2 Certification preferred, ASDTC (Automotive Skills Development Council) certification is an advantage

Work Environment

Standard 6-day work week in an authorized dealership workshop setting. Shift timings are typically 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with required adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
