This role involves managing the end-to-end warranty claim process at an authorized dealership to ensure maximum recovery from the manufacturer. It focuses on maintaining strict compliance with OEM policies, managing defective part returns, and coordinating between the service floor and the manufacturer’s technical team.
Process and submit warranty claims through the Dealer Management System (DMS) within OEM-specified timelines.
Inspect failed components and verify technical documentation provided by technicians and service advisors.
Manage the tagged storage, preservation, and timely dispatch of defective parts to the OEM for inspection.
Reconcile credit notes against submitted claims and take corrective action on rejected or short-settled claims.
Maintain comprehensive digital and physical records of all warranty transactions for audit readiness.
Monitor 'Parts Not Returned' (PNR) reports and ensure zero financial loss due to procedural lapses.
Liaise with OEM Territory Service Managers regarding technical approvals and goodwill warranty requests.
Prepare monthly reports on claim recovery ratios, rejection trends, and common failure modes.
1-3 years of experience in warranty administration or service operations within an authorized automotive dealership.
Working knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as SAP, Autoline, or OEM-specific platforms.
Strong technical understanding of automotive mechanical and electrical components.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and complex manufacturer policy guidelines.
Prior experience with major Indian OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai, or Mahindra.
Familiarity with GST norms related to warranty parts and labor billing.
Basic understanding of insurance claim processing for accidental repairs.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in an authorized service center workshop. Standard working hours follow a 6-day week schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Successful candidates can transition into roles such as Warranty Manager, Service Advisor, or Service Manager. There are also opportunities to move into OEM-level technical roles or regional service audits.
